Hi, I’m John.

I grew up in a traditional New England town. Puritanical and pretty in the snow. In Boston, I learned to write headlines and scripts, take feedback without whining much, and to always double check my battery situation. 

In New York, I learned how to avoid sidewalk dog shit, how to quit smoking, and how to really rev up a room. I’ve done a lot of pitching recently. I’ve done big agency, small agency, indie agency, shareholder agency, consultancy, in-house and some quick work for a guy on LinkedIn who never actually paid me for that one project. 

I’m meticulous about tone. I care about rhythm and sound. I get real satisfaction from blowing someone’s mind in 7 words or less. I love cracking voices and inventing new ones.

In this job, you win some but you lose a lot more. Either way, I’m just trying to make it fun.
